{"id":532,"date":"2023-12-04T21:25:06","date_gmt":"2023-12-04T12:25:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.ubin.jp\/en\/?p=532"},"modified":"2023-12-04T21:25:59","modified_gmt":"2023-12-04T12:25:59","slug":"yrp-unl-to-attend-2023-tron-symposium-tron-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.ubin.jp\/en\/2023\/12\/04\/yrp-unl-to-attend-2023-tron-symposium-tron-show\/","title":{"rendered":"YRP UNL to attend \u201c2023 TRON Symposium -TRON SHOW-.\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>YRP Ubiquitous Networking Laboratory (YRP UNL) will attend the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tronshow.org\/index-e.html\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.tronshow.org\/index-e.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2023 TRON Symposium -TRON SHOW-<\/a>\u201d which will take place for three days from December 6 (Wed), 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The TRON Symposium, which will be held for the 40th time, is sponsored by TRON Forum and is also widely known as \u201cTRONSHOW.\u201d In this symposium, \u201cAggregate Computing,\u201d Open IoT, the IoS (Internet of Services), open data, etc., are showcased. These concepts have been advocated by TRON Project*, and YRP UNL has also contributed to their research and development. Companies and research groups at the forefront of the IoT, embedded systems, and AI will hold the exhibitions and give technical presentations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2023, TRON Project received two major recognitions from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).: Project leader Ken Sakamura received the IEEE Masaru Ibuka Consumer Technology Award, and the TRON Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) family was recognized as an IEEE Milestone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">*TRON Project is a federation of projects to realize \u201cComputing Everywhere,\u201d \u2013 the IoT (The Internet of Things), or the ubiquitous computing environment based on \u201cOpen Architecture\u201d philosophy. The project promotes \u201cOpen IoT\u201d based on the core concept of \u201cOpen\u201d so that anyone can benefit from computers. To realize this goal, the project researches \u201cOpen API \u201cand advocates \u201cOpen Data\u201d by national and local governments, public transportation operators, etc., to share their data for public use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:28px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, the theme of the symposium is \u201cThe Future of Carbon Neutral Society Envisioned by ICT.\u201d With this background, the symposium will debate how to approach DX, primarily how to utilize IoT and ICT technology to transform our daily lives and society to address the issues of SDGs and the saving of energy used by computer nodes all over the world. Ken Sakamura, Director of YRP UNL, will give <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tron.org\/tronshow\/2023\/regist\/schedule\/?lang=en#19\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a keynote speech<\/a> on this theme on opening day (Wednesday, December 6).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the venue, we will exhibit and highlight <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.ubin.jp\/en\/research-development\/edge-node\/\">real-time edge nodes<\/a>, a personal data protection mechanism, and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.ubin.jp\/en\/research-development\/aggregate-computing\/\">Aggregate Computing<\/a>\u201d utilized for smart cities, intelligent buildings, and location information services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The symposium will be held at Tokyo Midtown Hall and also online.
